The Zodiac Fountain

In collaboration with the Studio Cosma in Rome, a 1:1 scale makeover of the monumental mosaic of the Zodiac Fountain of the city of Terni was made.

 

The large-scale conservative restoration project proceeded in stages: the in situ graphic survey of the original mosaic created in Rome in 1961 based on the project of the artist Corrado Cagli, the transposition on paper in the studio, the creation of the mosaic with the reverse technique, the assembly, the grouting and the application of the final protective.
